Catherine is a qualified Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist. She gives both individuals and couples a non-judgemental, safe place to explore relationship issues including communication problems, affairs and their aftermath, difficulties in sex lives, becoming parents and challenges during different life stages. Catherine understands that people find individual counselling helpful when a relationship has ended, and how to make sense of the ending, how to move forward in new relationships, and identify negative patterns or behaviours in previous relationships. As a Level 4 qualified Integrative Counsellor, she uses different approaches and theories which are be tailored towards any sexual or relationship needs and each individual or couple to gain a clearer insight into the presenting issues. Catherine has experience in the counselling field with bereavement (Level 2 Qualified), young adults and working as a psychosexual therapist in an NHS Sexual Health clinic where she has gained an understanding of the sensitive and careful assessment/treatment for presenting sexual issues.
Catherine has increased her knowledge to incorporate training in the field of Fertility Counselling. She feels that sometimes this can be overlooked in a relationship and wanted to provide a greater understanding to lone people and couples who are on a fertility journey. There are different paths when we talk about fertility, whether this is the IVF, Surrogacy, Donor Eggs/Sperm or unexplained infertility. Catherine provides the support needed for whichever path you are on.
